Before any trip or hike make shure you have the correct outfit for the location you will visit, have with you all a cell phone with plenty of charge, in case you need to contact some one.
Since Costa rica is a raine country during almost all year round, it is all the time good idea having handy a rain coat, hiking shoes and extra outfit is recomendable , if you go for a full day hike consider a medium size back pack , with enough space to bring camera, guides, or binoculars, plenty of water and a small snack, can save your day. and of course all the time follow the direction of the local guide.
